Who is Stew?
Stewart Brooker
Independent Candidate for Fadden
Empower. Support. Transform.
As an independent candidate, I’m here to stand up for Fadden - not party politics. My campaign is powered by real people, real conversations, and real action.
I believe in practical, transparent solutions that put our community first. No political spin - just genuine leadership that listens, acts, and delivers.
I’m committed to working with locals, not just talking at them, to tackle the issues that affect our daily lives: from cost-of-living pressures to community safety and local job opportunities.
Together, we can fix Fadden and make real change happen.
Background
With over 18 years of experience in business management, IT consulting, and community advocacy, Stewart Brooker brings a strong track record of leadership, problem-solving, and delivering results under pressure. An award-winning operations consultant, Stewart has worked for major companies such as Oracle, Unisys, Accenture, and CSC, serving government department clients like ATO and DIAC and corporate clients including Optus, One Steel, and BHP.
Stewart grew up in the small town of Pacific Palms and has lived in Sydney, Canberra, and Central Coast NSW before settling on the Gold Coast for the past eight years, where he is raising his 8- and 10-year-old children with his wife of 12 years. For the past eight years, Stewart has been a stay-at-home dad, an experience he cherishes and one that has shaped his perspective on politics and advocacy. His biggest motivation for running for office is to create a better future for his children and the next generation.
Beyond the corporate world, I’m deeply committed to grassroots community work.
I actively lead and participate in initiatives such as:
Seed the Ground - Supporting local sustainability and food security efforts.
Childcare Workshops - Providing educational and support programs for parents and caregivers.
Community Gardens - Helping create shared green spaces for local residents.
Serve the City - Volunteering in outreach programs that assist vulnerable communities.
Paradise Point Progress Association - Serving on the committee to advocate for local improvements.
Facebook Community Management - Administering and moderating local groups to foster engagement and dialogue.
Why I’m running
I believe that politics should work for the people.
My campaign is built around real issues affecting Fadden residents, including:

Cost of Living
Advocating for policies that ease financial pressure on families and individuals.
-
Housing
Pushing for affordable housing solutions and sustainable urban development.
-
Fire Ants
Ensuring urgent action to protect the community and environment.
-
Infrastructure & Public Transport
Fighting for better roads, improved public transport, and smarter city planning.
-

Community Engagement & Giving Back
I am committed to open discussions with residents, hosting live forums and engaging directly with the community. I aim to bring a fresh, independent voice to politics: one that listens, takes action, and drives meaningful change.
If elected, I will donate half of my parliamentary salary to supporting local community groups working on the front lines, ensuring resources go directly to those making a difference.
